McKynna became a six-rotation player when her high school team needed another pin to take on a larger role. She answered with 500+ career kills by the end of her sophomore season, First Team All-District recognition, and a team-voted Offensive MVP award.
Her athletic range extends beyond the indoor court. She competes in beach volleyball and in the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 relays, anchoring two relay teams, while also competing in long jump and high jump.

Beyond the stat line

McKynna plays with controlled aggression. When a point does not go her way, she makes the adjustment and attacks the next opportunity. Her teammates look to her for leadership, and her coaches trust her to take on whatever role the team needs.
She trains and competes in beach volleyball with 692 Beach Volleyball Club at The Strand in Lewisville, Texas. Since June 2023, she has earned five podium finishes—including one tournament victory—in the Friday Night Lights series.
